Hi, I’m John.
A lifetime spent in the outdoors has a way of shaping the person you become. I'm a North Texas based freelance writer, photographer, and publication consultant who has spent two decades building content alongside editorial teams and advertising clients. I draw from a technical background and a deep-rooted love of wild places to craft meaningful stories and images for the hunting and outdoor lifestyle communities.
When I'm not riding a saddle mule through the mountains or calling in ducks, I can be found managing the post oak savannah habitat and deer herd on my family ranch. I also enjoy meticulously creating spreadsheets for next hunting season's draw odds and training my Labrador retriever, Shadow.
